WATCH: Govt Reveals 3D Concept Design For Mbuya Nehanda's Monument
The Zimbabwean on Tuesday revealed the 3D concept design for Mbuya Nehanda’s Monument which will be erected at Corner Samora Machel and Julius Nyerere.
Nick Mangwana, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services said the aim is to have everything in place by Heroes Day.
Mbuya Nehanda Charwe Nyakasikana was a first Chimurenga heroine who was captured and hanged for initiating the liberation struggle against the white settlers.
Meanwhile, government critics have said funds allocated towards the monument project could have been channelled to other needy areas including the health sector where workers are protesting over paltry salaries.
