Govt Allows Kadewere To Attend Brother's Funeral
The government has granted Tino Kadewere a special permit to attend his brother Prince’s funeral after he jetted into the country for the funeral yesterday and went into mandatory quarantine thereafter, Zim Morning Post reports.
According to the publication, Kadewere was granted the permit this evening and the COVID-19 National Taskforce leader Dr Mahomva said he should have applied for the permit before he travelled which would have saved him time:
He, however, needed to have applied for a special dispensation before arrival to ensure he would attend his brother’s burial, Covid-19 Government Taskforce Chairperson Dr Agnes Mahomva said on Friday.
FeedbackKadewere flew in with his wife yesterday after being given permission by his French Club Olympique Lyon to travel since he is not part of the squad in Portugal playing the Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City tomorrow.
